Officer Elections & General Meeting

Every elected office will be on the ballot this year because of a resignation. A full, two-year term for Co-President, a special election to fill the remaining year of a term for Co-President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Political Director, and a Treasurer.

The Presidents' and Treasurer's tasks are fairly straightforward. The Vice President can receive a special assignment from the Executive Board to concentrate on during their term. The Political Director is the liaison with party committees, campaigns, electeds, and advocacy organizations. The Secretary is expected to update the roster, handle communications and membership development, and keep minutes during meetings.

All terms last for one year, except for the Co-Presidents, whose two-year terms are staggered to promote continuity, institutional knowledge, and act as a check. As mentioned earlier, one term is ending normally. The other term--currently halfway completed--is open because of a resignation.
