Northern Virginia High School Leadership Academy

The Virginia High School Leadership Academy will provide high school students with the essential skills to develop an issue-based advocacy campaign on college campuses and beyond. By learning the fundamental skills required for issue-based advocacy, students will also develop essential leadership traits that will help them navigate a professional work setting after college.

To teach these skills, we have assembled leaders from various issue-based non-profit organizations to provide high school students a fundamental training on issue advocacy. At the end of the event, the student teams will develop their own issue based campaign strategy to present to a panel of established leaders and get their feedback.
