Don’t miss out!
For the first time ever registered voters between the ages of 18 and 35 turned out the highest percent than any other age group in the 2012 general election.  As young people, we have the power to make a difference and impact change.  Every year, from what feels like the dawn of time our State and Local elections are decided by the smallest percentage of voters than any other election, Presidential elections topping the charts with highest turnout.  Primary Elections turn out one of the smallest percentages of registered voters.

Common reasons to vote absentee:

  • are a student or the spouse of a student attending a school outside Fairfax County
  • will be away from Fairfax County on business
  • will be working and commuting for 11 or more hours between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • will be away from Fairfax County on personal business or vacation
  • are unable to go to the polls because of illness or disability
  • have a religious obligation
